Discounts and scholarships

Invoices for a whole class at once
Draft invoices for every student in a class for a billing period; students already billed for that fee and period are skipped. Review the drafts and issue them: each one gets a number and is locked. Invoices can be emailed to the guardian as a PDF.
Payments, receipts and late fees
Record a payment by cash, bank transfer, cheque or online transfer on the student's account, apply it to their invoices and email the receipt. Add the configured late fee to every overdue invoice in one step.
Refunds and corrections you can trace
A refund is requested, approved, handed back and marked completed, in that order. Voiding an invoice or a payment is permanent and needs a reason, which is recorded.
What parents see
Parents see their child's invoices and receipts in the parent portal and are told when a new one is issued. They pay the school the way they do today; the office records the payment in Little Birds.

Can parents pay fees online through Little Birds?
No. Parents see invoices and receipts in their portal, and the school records every payment, whether it came as cash, bank transfer, cheque or an online transfer.
Does it work in Nepali rupees?
Yes. Fees, invoices and receipts are in NPR, and dates can follow the Bikram Sambat calendar.
Is this full school accounting software?
Little Birds manages student fees: billing, collections, discounts, refunds and fee reports. It is not a general ledger for salaries, expenses or tax returns, so schools keep their accountant's books alongside it.
Can we give the fee data to our accountant?
Yes. Fee reports download as a CSV file that opens in Excel.
